4. Dad! Have mercy on me!
Izanagi(伊邪那岐神) wept bitterly for the loss of Izanagi(伊邪那岐神).
He cried out with profound grief.
"I lost my sweet, Izanami because of giving birth to Hinokagutsuchi no Kami(火之迦具土神)."
Izanagi buried Izanami at Mt.Hiba(比婆山) between Izumo(出雲) and Hōki(伯耆).
"If Izanami didn't give birth to the son, she would be alive."
Izanagi couldn't help but cursing and feeling hatred for his son.
Izanagi grabbed a sword called Totsuka no Tsurugi(十束剣).
Hinokagutsuchi no Kami screamed.
"Waaaaaaaaaaa! Waaaaaaaaaaaaa!"
(Dad! What are you going to do!? I love youuuuuuuuuu!! Love you so much. Dad! Daaaaaaaaaaaad!)
Finally, Izanagi cut off his son's head.
Nevertheless, his profound grief grew rather than ease up.
His love for Izanami grew stronger day by day.
"I'd like to see her once again......If I could, I'd like to help her alive back and get back to this world."
Izanagi couldn't contain himself. Finally, he made up his mind to go to Yomi no Kuni(黄泉の国)/the land of the dead.

According to Wikipedia(Infanticide), killing infants were not crime in Japan around 200 years ago . More to say, it was allowed to keep their living standard. But, in the case of Izanagi, love for Izanami and hatred for his son made him kill his son. I'm not sure such a thing was common in old days.
