Cafeterias in school are assisted in a variety ways, such as land rental cost, building rental cost and utility costs ,
by schools in where they are placed.
That's why school cafeterias provide low-priced foods.
The only inconvenient thing is that most school cafeterias are closed on Sundays.
Here are some picks of school cafeterias where I've been to.

He got a 8mm film camera in his high school days. He shoot videos around him and grew his hope that he made his own film as his expression. He hoped that he made small films in where he can put free expression like pictures, not big films on theaters. That's why he went on to this university, Tokyo Zokei University. He was excited and hopeful at entrance ceremony.
But, after his university life started, his eagerness changed into others. He had never seen films on theaters so far in his hometown which is far from Tokyo. As long as he had time, he visited dozens of theaters. Then, he became a staff for making films with people who he happened to meet there. They were screenwriters with no name and didn't have enough money. But, they were serious about creating films. They defied boundaries of university life. They earnestly sought their own films. He got involved with their passion and was filled with a sense of fulfillment and stimulus. That experience was the one which he could never have in his university. His hope for university gradually dwindled. Films which he created in his class only existed within academic and small world. Those works never face criticism by tough world. He thought university life was lukewarm.
He took a leave of absence from his university. Instead, he made dozens of films as an assistant director. At first, he didn't know about anything at all. As his experience had been enlarging, he felt he was a professional. He was satisfied with what he did. Finally, he thought he should quit his school. He felt he had nothing to learn at school. He was going to learn on the job.
At that time, he submitted an assignment of making a film at school. He had a confidence. It was because he had abundant experience. But, his work was terrible. Nobody applauded his work. On the other hand, his friends' works were free from common sense and abundance of free idea, even though they didn't have experience and technique. Attending classes, he realized that theory and philosophy help increase his free idea. He felt what he had never seen on the job was shining.
He realized he was bound by his experience. What he gained on the job was just a how-to. As long as a how-to works well, you can prove your ability. However, if what nobody knows happen, a how-to is useless. Creation needs what nobody knows. It's like a bet. That bet may end up failing. It can be same as research. Nobody knows research works well. But, university gives you freedom to seek what nobody knows. You cannot get such a thing by experience. Intelligence gives you free idea.
He made up his mind to quit his job and be back to school. After he graduated, his first film was a impromptu play without acting script. His director said "Never do that again!". Why not to do? It's because such a thing never be done in business. If he were not back to school and kept working, he would never make such an unconventional film. However, challenging an unconventional thing, you can seek a free idea. It's university privilege. As long as you are allowed to seek your idea, the existence of university is meaningful.
Every private school has school philosophy "how do teachers educate students and make them research". Zokei University's school philosophy is "Research and practice of creative activity to create a society". How do you feel about the words "to create a society"? Do you feel a sense of exaggeration without reality?
This school's founder Yoko Kuwasawa made the following remark about significance of design and art.
"Design and art are not self-expression. Those are expression to take responsibility for society. Designers and artists must have missions to tackle contradiction in today's society and industry." He is not sure whether making films is an "expression to take responsibility for society". Each of us is small. He is sure the world moves around without him. It's a small thing which we can feel throughout our experience. We have thousands of problems, such as civil war and starvation. You may think "how do a bit player like me cope with enormous problems in society?". But, society is not in other world which we don't know.
From now on, all of you will create your own works. New ideas come up to your mind. Aesthetic form comes up to your mind. You are not sure whether it's good idea and it's beautiful. Those struggle is inseparable companion of creation. As long as your idea is only inside you, it doesn't make any sense. Once you express your idea, your idea is under public eyes and evaluated. It's not just an object and shape. It gives an influence for society. Society is surely formed, no matter how small group. Nobody can pay attention to the whole of this vast world. Each of us is living in limited world. Each of small world is woven together which forms this vast world. Design and art play a role to make movement and encourage people. We can only imagine this vast world. However, this imagination is the world.
The word "Creation" is not just "making an thing". For example, if you create a design of air conditioner and thousands of air conditioners are sold, you make the world need enormous electric power. Art itself doesn't bring universal value. Art exists by appealing to emotion.
We understand today's our system doesn't work well throughout the experience of the East Huge Earthquake and Nuclear Accident. We have to revise what we usually do so far. Real society pays attention to only short-term profit. The time has come that free research in university brings significance.
